Themed Reading Retreats for Book Lovers

Our reading retreats are designed for people who love books and want to experience them in community. Each retreat brings readers together for a thoughtfully planned getaway centered on shared stories, genuine connection, and time away from everyday routines.

Every book retreat looks a little different, but they all share the same foundation: welcoming spaces, intentionally small groups, and experiences designed to make it easy to connect over a mutual love of reading.

How Our Reading Retreats Work

  • We keep our reading retreats intentionally small so it's easy to connect and feel comfortable. With fewer people, conversations flow more naturally, shared moments feel more personal, and the overall experience stays relaxed rather than overwhelming. Whether you're chatty or more reserved, there's space to show up as yourself.

  • Each retreat is built around a shared reading theme that gives everyone an instant point of connection. Themes might center on a genre (romance, fantasy, mystery), a familiar storytelling element (found family, enemies-to-lovers), or even a specific book or series — helping shape conversations, activities, and the overall feel of the weekend.

The theme acts as a guide rather than a rule. You're welcome to read within it or simply enjoy being part of a group that's excited about the same kinds of stories and ideas.

  • Our book retreats are designed to feel welcoming, not performative. There are no forced icebreakers and no expectation to participate in everything. Group conversations and activities are always optional, and listening counts just as much as speaking. You can jump in fully, ease in slowly, or find a balance that feels right for you.

  • While each reading getaway includes thoughtfully planned group moments, there's also plenty of room to relax and recharge. Time is intentionally left open so you can read, rest, explore, or connect one-on-one. The structure is there to support the experience, not to dictate how you spend every minute.
